Brain Scan
You have been scheduled for a brain scan, which involves the use of a small amount of radioactive material. The level of radioactivity used is extremely low and has no side effects.
Patient Preparation
There is no preparation for this test.
Procedure
This is a two-part study. On your first visit, you will lie on a table and receive an injection of a small amount of radioactive material into a vein in your arm. Pictures will be taken immediately and you will be asked to return in 1 hour for more pictures.
