DMSA Renal Scan
You have been scheduled for a DMSA renal study that involves the use of a small amount of radioactive material. The level of radioactivity used is extremely low and has no side effects.

Patient Preparation
There is no preparation for this test.

Procedure
This is a two-part study. On your first visit, you will lie on a table and receive an injection of a small amount of radioactive material into a vein in your arm. Pictures will be taken immediately and you will be asked to return in 3-4 hours for more pictures.
